Studio Funk: Workshop for Youth with Shamiran Adam in Embroidery, Drawing, and Animation

What?
A creative activity in embroidery, animation, and drawing on the theme of Transformation. You’ll get to try drawing on phone, or with a pen. Try out analog and digital 2D cell animation. Animate with cut-outs and create figures with textiles and embroidery. 

This workshop is for those who know nothing about animation or drawing, or for those who want to learn more. 

Shamiran Adam is an artist who works with textiles, drawing, and animation. Adam has led courses and taught embroidery and stop motion. In her art, she explores what it feels like to be different and finding new and personal ways to live and create. 

The activity is part of Studio Funk—Contemporary Art Without Obstacles and is open to young people with intellectual disabilities and other functional variations, as well as participants who do not identify with the target group.

Accessibility:
For those arriving by subway, there is an elevator from street level down to the area in front of Tensta konsthall. There is also a path without stairs from Tensta Centrum. At the entrance to Tensta konsthall, there is a permanent ramp intended for wheelchairs, walkers, and strollers. All spaces at Tensta konsthall, including restrooms, are accessible for people with disabilities.
