Tuesday, May 21 at 18.00—20.30 we finally show the documentary If everyone just leaves at Tensta konsthall, followed by a conversation with the filmmakers and cast.
The film screening is free and no pre-registration is required.
If everyone just leaves is a film about Nazira and her family, about a beautiful Tensta, about neighbors and love, but also about gun threats, shootings, fear and insecurity when the functions of society seem to be backing away and many people want to move. About a changed Sweden and our eternal longing for a sense of belonging in a seemingly unsafe world. If all the good people move, who can make a difference? As Nazira asks herself.
The film was created by Karin Wegsjö and Nazira Abzalova and was awarded the Angelosprize at the Gothenburg Film Festival as well as the prize for best film at the Tempo Documentary Festival earlier this year!
"It feels very good to be able to show Karin and Nazira's touching film about life in Tensta, which discusses matters of home. If everyone just leaves is a beautiful portrait of a home that invites conversation about the city and its accessibility, something that is also discussed in our current exhibition Chronos: health, access and intimacy, an exhibition that deals precisely with questions about the city and who it is built for" - Wasim Harwill, Communication Manager at Tensta konsthall.
A warm welcome to Tensta konsthall, the evening starts with a little gathering at 17.30.
A big thank you to everyone who helped shape this film and to Folkets Bio.
