Tensta's Magic Wormholes

Tensta’s Magic Wormholes is a digital artwork in augmented reality (AR) 
This work is visible in the asphalt just outside Tensta konsthall on Taxingeplan. When you download the free app Tensta’s Magic Wormholes and point your phone at the sprayed patterns, a virtual world filled with memories and stories from around the globe open up on the screen. The patterns, suggested by Tensta residents in collaboration with Women’s Café at Tensta konsthall, reflect everything from the European history of the tulip with its Turkish roots to designs inspired by the underground church of Lalibela in Ethiopia. 

Bella Rune (born 1971) lives and works in Stockholm. She was educated at Chelsea College of Arts in London and Beckmans School of Design in Stockholm. Rune primarily works with sculpture, experimenting with various materials and techniques, often incorporating performative elements. The app is produces together with Red Banners.
