Draw cartoons with Ylva Westerlund

The artist Ylva Westerlund holds a course in cartoon drawing where the participants learn to draw environments, characters, use text and try out different cartooning styles. Based on Oscar Lara's exhibition Mining Life and the cartoonist Jesús Cossio we examine how comics can be used to retell or invent stories.

Ylva Westerlund is educated at Malmö Art Academy and lives in Tensta. She has previously shown work at Tensta konsthall through the exhibitions Den Nya Hjorden 2017, and Phantoms of the Commons, 2021.
